Practice Survey Reporting

A Patient Survey was undertaken during week commencing 28.10.13 with regard to the practice, it's services and it's staff.  The results are as follows:

The overall responses were good  to excellent when patients were asked about ease of contacting the practice, did they get to see a doctor or nurse within 48 hours or get to speak to a doctor or nurse within that time?  This is VERY positive feedback for our practice - thank you.

Some patients were not satisfied with the length of time waiting in the practice to see their doctor or practice nurse.  Unfortunately some of our patients who come to the practice are very poorly and ourDoctors and practice nurses have a duty of care towards them.  We apologise to those patients who are disappointed in the length of waiting time but this is something that is beyond our control.  Patients who are kept waiting are informed of the waiting time by our reception staff and asked if they would like to re-book.

Parking and opening times were also causing some patients concern.  We appreciate that parking can sometimes be an issue, but unfortunately we do not have the ground capacity to increase the size of the car park as we are in a residential area.  Our opening hours are 8.00 am to 6.30 pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with varying clinic times - we also open 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on Tuesdays for patients who have difficulty attending during our normal opening hours.

Patients responses were between very good and excellent when asked how they were treated by the practice staff  (this included doctors, practice nurses and receptionists), this was also the same when asked how they felt about privacy and confidentiality and about information provided by the practice (i.e. repeat prescriptions, test results etc.).  Again, this is VERY positive feedback for our practice - thank you.
